Plastic Shredder
October 2018 - May 2019

Entered the PA Governor's STEM Competition with a five-member team with the goal to improve the daily lives of Pennsylvanians.

Created a mechanical plastic shredder and implemented a recycling initiative in the school district in order to reduce the carbon footprint and promote a green future.

Specifically responsible for the creation of the shredder stand, gearbox, and motor integration. Also completed technical drawings of the shredder components in order to be machined externally.

The shredder prototype was created and presented in Pittsburgh, placing 1st out of 3 schools in the regional competition.

The shredder was then presented improved and presented in Harrisburg, placing 3rd out of 31 teams in the state-wide PA Governor's Stem Competition.
